We're currently in the process of filing our LLC paperwork with the Secretary of State. We've already got our budget set with a projected profit. Some players are already signed. Tryout is set for January and is already being paid for by our business partners. Stadium has already been agreed on by our organization and the facility manager at our venue. Our business plan is pretty much in place, and about to take off in full effect. It was created by several business owners.
There's a good thing in the works here and we're looking for individuals to come be apart of something new. Our season runs May-September. Practice will begin in January shortly after the tryout. Coaches and players should be available 2 weekday evenings throughout the season and on Saturdays at the most. There may be some Sunday events, but not a lot. Contracts will include an opportunity to be compensated for time based on a few measurable standards.
***Coach Requirements***
> Must be able to identify which receivers are labeled X and Z
> Must be able to diagram a Wing Right formation with only 2 Tight Ends
> Must be able to name 4 Defensive Coverages and describe what Linebackers and Defensive Backs are doing
> Must be willing to motivate players
> Must be willing to cut bad talent
> Must be willing to cut talent that is not coach-able regardless of talent level
> Must be willing to hold guys accountable including staff
> Must be willing to build cooperate with a staff and understand you are not a player or an owner, you are a coach
***Player Requirements***
Your standard player contract will state the following:
> Must present yourself in a professional manner on and off the field
> Must attend all meetings, events, games, practices, etc, there are attendance requirements if you want to be compensated
> Must meet basic athletic standards set by organization to make the roster, must pass conditioning test to start practicing with team
> Must provide your own equipment and pants
***What we offer***
> Film
> No Player Fee or Uniform Fees
> A chance to advance your career with a staff behind you that is going to help
***What we will not tolerate***
> Bad attitudes that result in backlash at your teammates and coaches, you will not say what you want and get away with it, nobody cares that you're just a competitive dude, Respect should be given even if you don't get it but we promise to promote and give respect at all times, Football is about discipline and keeping your composure
> Not showing up because you have to work every practice day, sorry maybe football isn't for you, re arrange your schedule, our partners are paying for you and providing opportunities you need to be there
We have two philosophies
1. Good talent will be found and your talent isn't just catching a ball, hitting a guy hard or how fast you can run. It includes the intangibles. This also means we will not fill roster spots just to fill them. 25 committed and well rounded-talented guys is better than 20 good guys and 20 cancers.
2. You want to play pro ball, we're going to treat you like a professional and prepare you for pro ball.
Hope to see you out there. Please contact me at ocfjumpscoach@gmail.com with your experience, why you're interested, what you can offer, and what you hope to get out of the opportunity.
