OVERVIEW
The Collegiate Development Football League is proud to announce the creation of its inaugural Collegiate Prep Scout Bowl! This I-day event is a culmination of 5 years of CDFL growth and experience in providing more opportunity for young football players, both in the U.S. and globally. Since its inception back in 2008, the CDFL has helped send 31 players to college and 44 players from college to the pro path.
With its 3 collegiate all-star games (D3 Senior Classic, D2 vs NAIA Challenge, FCS Senior Scout Bowl, and 2 international pro scout bowls (Euro-American Challenge, ProGrass International Scout Bowl), the league is looking forward to adding the Collegiate Prep Scout Bowl as its sixth edition to the CDFL family of football events. “We are excited to return to our roots so to speak. For the past 4 years we have shifted our focus to addressing the need for opportunity on the Collegiate-to-Pro path. The Collegiate Prep Scout Bowl is our answer to the dyer call for young men who for whatever reason haven’t found a home in college football. Our mission is to provide them with every opportunity possible to get re-recruited,” says co-founder and CDFL President George St. Lawrence.
The CPSB will be a one day scouting/recruiting event unlike any other service of its kind in existence. Before the event on Saturday August 3, a playbook and 6-week long workout regime will be sent to all registered players. Although the systems are simple and the main event on August 3 will include a review of the playbook, all players are required to learn the schemes and playing calling system prior to their arrival. This is designed to reduce the player cost and time for extra days of practice.
