Team USA Football announces the scheduling of a game with the vice-champion of The National Student Organization of American Football, the Borregos Salvajes I.T.E.S.M.-C. Ciudad de México (Technical University of Mexico City).
The game will be played at the Olympic Stadium on the Campus of the University on August 15, 2008. It will be the unveiling of the stadium's new field turf and game lights. This is the first game in Mexico City to be played on this style of surface and under the lights. A large crowd, and ESPN coverage for Mexico, is expected.
Team USA will arrive at Mexico City on Sunday, August 10 in order to practice during the week leading up to the game. Several additional events are being held in conjunction with the game including press conferences, media visits to the team, tours of the campus, stadium and practice facilities as well as a hosted tour of the Historic District of Mexico City.
