Vaughn Carraway was a wide receiver in his first years at Temple and switched to Defensive Back following a tremendous off season into his Redshirt Sophmore year. He backed up two veteran safety's who went on to play in the NFL before earning the starting role his Senior year.
Honors: Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week — Honorable Mention (Sept. 4) … named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (Sept. 3) … CFP Honorable Mention National Performer of the Week (Sept. 3) … named the coaches’ defensive scout team player of the week for the Buffalo game (Oct. 23, 2010) … named the coaches’ offensive scout team player of the week following the Akron game (Nov. 14, 2009).
2012:
