TUFA and WMLF Announces Working Relationship
In what is proving to be a very eventful day in the world of semi-pro football, Richard Walker, the President of Texas United Football Association announced in a statement that their league have formed a strategic partnership with World Minor League Football. The announcement was made on the TUFA Facebook page said the following:
“TUFA Family..
I am pleased to announce that we have formed a strategic partnership with World Minor League Football, which runs during the Fall. This new relationship will give our players and owners the opportunity to keep football going year round if they wish. More importantly, what really makes this a great relationship is that both leagues shares a similar vision - we WANT TO MAKE SEMI PRO FOOTBALL BETTER...we both pride ourselves on integrity, hard work, honesty, professionalism, commitment to excellence, and the growth and development of our owners, coaches and players, and to create a nation-wide platform for talented individuals who want to get to the next level to have a stage to showcase their talents. For those who are playing solely for the love of the game, they will also be able to live out their dreams in a professional football environment. We look forward to this as the beginning of a long lasting, tremendously successful endeavor!”
WMLF Commissioner TJ Dickerman replied with the following, “It’s hard to say anything else. President Walker and I see eye to eye about making the culture of semi-pro football something to be extremely proud of. We want to give players and teams the chance to be better both on and off the field and feel that if one or the other fails, then we fail. Working with TUFA is going to show that leagues can no longer run the way they usually do with the mentality of league first and teams maybe second. We are VERY excited about this opportunity to work with a league that is VERY enthusiastic about changing the culture of our fine sport to something that we all can be proud of even more!”
Details of the working partnership will be revealed at a later date, so stay tuned to the TUFA site www.tufa-football.com and WMLF site www.worldminorleaguefootball.com for more details!
