About the East Valley Warlords
The East Valley Warlords are an eleven man, full tackle developmental football squad. We carry a roster of up to 55 players. We were established in 2009 by founder, Steve Pappas. We call Chandler, AZ our home but we represent the entire East Valley, including Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Tempe, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, and Gold Canyon. Our season runs from January to May with all games on Saturdays.
The East Valley Warlords are organized as an Arizona nonprofit corporation doing business as East Valley Warlords Football Incorporated (EIN 46-5391166). We are also an approved nonprofit corporation with the IRS.
As an organization, we have three main goals:
1. Be successful on and off the field.
2. Provide an opportunity for adults to lead healthy and active lifestyles by continuing to play the game they love after their high school and college careers have ended.
3. Train and prepare young adults who wish to further their football careers in college or professional organizations.
We simply preach "Success."
We are Fierce Competitors
The 2016 season will be the East Valley Warlords 7th season and we're looking forward to a great one. The season runs from February to May with practice officially beginning in November. In 2012, we went to the State Championship game and lost in the last minute. In 2013, we went back to the State Championship game and WON it all. We were then invited to the Inaugural AAHQ1 National Championship against the New Mexico Wolf Pack of the NMPFL. We were victorious and took the championship. In 2014, we were invited to the AAHQ SW Regional Bowl game and beat the El Paso Armor formerly of the NMPFL with a score of 18-0. In 2015, we made it to the playoffs but were eliminated early. Now we are hungry and the preparations have already begun for the 2016 season.
We are Regular Guys Who Love Football
We are disciplined and understand that nothing good comes without a lot of hard work. The players on our team range from 17 years old to 40+. Most have families, jobs and school, but we all come together every Saturday and play for the love of the game.
We are Community Oriented
The East Valley Warlords are associated with many different non-profit events like For Our City, Matthew's Crossing Food Bank, and Marine Corps Toys for Tots. As an organization we pride ourselves on making sure we give back to our community.
