Hello. My name is Sterling Wilburn. Three months ago I went to NCCU's spring game and talked with head coach Jerry Mack. He was interested in getting me to play for the squad. I trained vigorously, increasing my reps on all my lifts by nearly double. I stayed low profile and refused to go out with friends for one day my competitive spirit would be able to forge a legacy on the battlefield. Today I went to NCCU to get cleared for eligibility, only to find by a simple clause, I would not be able to play. The rule is if you are ever enrolled as a full time student at any college, your clock starts. You have 5 years of eligibility, from that moment. Consequently, if you have not reached 80% of your degree requirements, you are not eligible. No one ever told me I would be signing away my chance to play college football by taking a few extra credits. Essentially my chance, all the preparation, sacrifice and commitment felt like a loss, but with the will of a warrior, I continue my quest to be victorious in the proving ground.
Life will knock you down. And it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. But life's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep going. Today was a harder hit than I will ever experience on the field. And I don't plan to sit around pointing the finger at who's fault it is I'm not where I want to be, because that's not what champions do.

Ht: 6'1.75
Wt: 246
never maxed out as I workout alone but most weight and reps I've done:
bench: 300 x 2
squat: 450 x 3
Power clean: 255x 2
40 yrd estimate:4.5-4.75
Unlimited intangibles,
all of this is true and you have my word on that. I was given the opportunity to compete but kept out because of taking one or two , too many classes 4 years ago. A lot of coaches ask me what I play, and I tell them I can adapt to anything. I have played fullback, olb, mlb, dend, kicker, kr, you name it.
If you wish to feel my intensity and are looking for a diamond in the coals of these threads, you may have found what you're looking for. call 919-607-1318. It could be the best phone call either of us have ever experienced.
