As the season winds down and you are thinking about 2009 give the Gridiron Elite Teams a shoot.
The Gridiron Elite will field 2 teams during the 2009 campaign. The New York Spartans a charter Gridiron Elite team and the recently added New York Bandits will team up to produce some of the best football in the area.
The New York Spartans a young group of men are designed and geared to play championship football. Major difference between the Spartans and most programs is the commitment to transitioning young men looking to make the jump from HS to college football. The New York Spartans not only win with youth but are moving 12 players off of this year’s roster directly into college during the 2009 season with 2 spring players who have already made major impacts at SUNY BROCKPORT and SUNY MORRISVILLE. The Spartans will only become better at placing players as the current group of players make their marks on college rosters.
The New York Bandits join the Elite in 2009 and look to bring years of championship experience into the fold. The Bandits will focus on players exiting college or looking for the most competitive football in the area. The Bandits look to help the Elite grow into the largest Adult Amateur Football program in the country. During the 2008 season both teams combined to field over 100 players and play over 28 games with a current combined record of 21-8.
The Gridiron Elite also will pride itself in developing young coaches. The Gridiron Elite has already helped with the development of several HS Coaches and congratulates Rashid Darrishaw DB Coach at ASA College. Coach Darrishaw a current member of both the New York Bandits and New York Spartans.
The place to play in 2009 is with one of the Gridiron Elite Teams. Come and join the Elite in 2009 as we look to play over 30 games next season, travel to the sunny Island of PR and contend for 2 Championships next season.
