Minor Football League Preparing For Next Season
Washington, D.C. -- The Minor Football League (MFL), a minor professional football league with 11 teams playing in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C., is seeking coaches to staff its teams for the 2010 season.
The current list of teams participating in the league include: Maryland teams: the Washington Chiefs, the Baltimore Buccaneers, the Severn Chargers, the Frederick Patriots, the Prince Georges Eagles, and the Calvert County Cowboys. District of Columbia teams: DC Falcons. Virginia teams: the Virginia Vikings. Pennsylvania teams: Keystone Stallions and the Yorktown Tigers.
Ultimately, the MFL plans to consist of 28 national teams which will be segmented into four divisions. Each division will be set up to allow for reasonable accessibility to other teams within that division.
The league is seeking head coaches and position coaches for each of the current 11 teams. It is expected that the applicant has some football experience including having played the game on the high school, university, semi-pro or professional level and/or coached a community little league team, a middle or high school team, a junior college or university team, or a semi-pro or professional team.
