Mission Statement
To serve our community with pride and passion as a quality example of individual and team excellence on the field and within the community by consistently exceeding our fan's expectations by demonstrating the highest character, appreciation and respect for our game, fans, teammates and partners as a visionary organization providing an enjoyable and family friendly entertainment experience.
Purpose
This league is believed to have been established for the purpose of having fun during the off-season of the semi-professional football, and to allow players to improve themselves, as well as meeting their old and new friends alike. Some say they join to get in shape. This league features players from their respective teams that wish to continue their football career in hopes to be drafted by the higher-tiered leagues such as AFL, AFL2, NFL.
What's new in 2010?
Two new teams have been ratified into 8FL for the 2010 season. They are Decatur Rage and Illinois Valley Lobos. The Central Illinois Hawks folded mid-season in 2009, and Metamora Razorbacks ceased their operations in post-season of 2009. The 8FL is still bringing the total roster of 12 teams.
