The (MSFL) Mid-States Football League is looking for teams to expand on the league's very competitive line-up. The MSFL boast 5 past champions of various leagues (MSFL, CFL, NAFL, TSFL MLF); Chicago Thunder, Racine Raiders, Leyden Lions, Racine Threat, Roscoe Rush and two former National Champions in the Chicago Thunder and Racine Raiders. Twelve out of the fifteen teams existing in the MSFL have been operating for over five years two for over twenty years and one for over fifty.
The MSFL has a very comprehensive web site which can be accessed by logging onto www.midstatesfootballleague.com with stats that are updated each week and a league radio show which airs twice weekly. The show airs each Monday and Friday 8p.m. till 10 p.m. featuring league issues, scores and previews. The show can be found on www.blogtalkradio.com/msflradio. Sponsors for each team, fundraising events, and charity drives are all read on the show which features on average three-hundred listeners each night.
The most impressive feature of the MSFL is the real democracy which exist. There are elected board members (each have term limits) the board consist of President, Vice-President, Treasurer and 2nd Vice President and each team has a representative which vote on each and every issue. Teams can play when, where, and whom they want during pre-season and the MSFL has not changed a league schedule in over five years during season.
Teams are located in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and looking to expand in Michigan and other areas.
