The OMFA Pro Mexico is now recruiting players from the US to play in Mexico for the next OMFA season in 2011. The OMFA has been around in Mexico for over 10 years and is the premier league in Mexico.
In 2011 the OMFA is expanding from 12 teams to 24 with teams located in Monterrey, Mexico City, Tijuana, San Diego and many more. We also will be televised on cable/satellite on a new SKY America's channel 3mE. 3mE will be available in the USA, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, and select South American markets such as Brazil and Uruguay.
OMFA Teams will be providing food, housing, and a salary for import players. We will be holding combines all along the border in California and Texas. Players will be tested in the 40 yard dash, 20 yard short shuttle, standing broad jump, as well as positional skills and drills. All tests will be filmed and uploaded to a player database to be provided to the Mexican teams and evaluated for the inaugural OMFA Import Draft.
All players must have a valid passport before they report to training camp.
The San Diego team will aslo be importing players from Mexico, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania.
The first combine will be held in San Diego, California on Sunday, September 19.
We will also hold combines in October, November, and December, the OMFA Draft will take place in January, players will report to their teams by March and the season begins in April.
