Memphis-The Gridiron Development Football League is Proud to Announce that the Henry County Horseman of Stockbridge, GA have officially became members of the "Greatest Minor Pro Football League Ever Created" The GDFL. The Henry County Horsemen for the past 3 years have an outstanding record of 47-9,they have participated in 3 consecutive USFL Championships (2008, 2009 and 2010) winning the USFL Championship in 2009 and the NFE National Championship in 2009.Lead by the ownership of Tyrone Barnes.Mr.Barnes started his football career at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Atlanta, GA. Upon graduation from Roosevelt High School Barnes accepted an athletic scholarship to Morris Brown College. MBC is where he gained a passion and understanding of the game. When the opportunity to continue to play the game he loves resurfaced he was extremely excited to get this 2nd chance." He has since enjoyed a very productive Minor League football career. He has excelled at QB for the Georgia Rage, Gwinnett Patriots, and the Atlanta Prime. He was the starting QB for 3 championship teams and was a part of 4 titles. In 2008 Barnes decided to move on to the next chapter in his football career by starting a Minor League Organization called the Henry County Horsemen. Barnes served as Owner, Head Coach, and Offensive Coordinator. In the 1st season the Horsemen surprised all doubters by compiling a 10-3-2 record, a birth in the league championship game (losing by 1 point), and finally a USFA Southeastern National Championship with a win over the undefeated and highly ranked S. Georgia Warriors.
