October 31, 2010 there is new and exciting news for the GDFL and all Gwinnett Jets fans. The Gwinnett Jets has officially moved to the GDFL. In addition this great team has decided to change their name to the "<http://www.Georgia-Jets.com> Georgia Jets"! After two years in existence (i.e. 2009 and 2010) where they held the Divisional Champion titles in both years and are now The Southern Football League Champions, the team has decided to broaden their horizons by joining the nationally acclaimed GDFL. These changes allow the Jets to represent a broader base of Georgia fans while gaining increase national exposure. Now people across the country will more easily recognize their new name and their fans will be even more motivated and proud to represent this great Georgia team. The move up to the GDFL is even more exciting now that the Georgia Jets are entering into a Minor-Pro football league with a National Platform! With this move to the GDFL the Georgia Jets' players will have access to some of the nation's best recruiters and be seen by even more scouts. These changes will also allow the Georgia Jets to attract top regional talent who may need a second chance to make it to college and the pros. Don't worry the Jets promised the league that the current Gwinnett Jets staff will all remain, however they will now have additional support through the team's partnership with the GDFL.
