Indy Tornados Launch the Recruitment Center The Tornados open the recruitment center optimistic that they will rebound from a disappointing 2010 season. With key players returning in a new league with new teams and new competition, the 2011 season looks very promising. The Tornados look forward to adding new addition this off season. To register with the Indianapolis Tornados please click the "Recruitment Center' link and input your information into the player registration form. Tryouts will be held at a later date. Please submit your information to that we can get the details to you as soon as the event is scheduled... The Indy Tornados Leave the NAFL to join the GDFL for 2011 The Indianapolis Tornados have officially announced that they have departed from the NAFL (North American Football League). The Tornados have been a member since 2002, and won the 2008 NAFL National Championship. In 2011, the Tornados will compete in the GDFL (Gridiron Developmental Football League). The GDFL is one of the fast growing Minor League’s in the country. "We’ve had a tremendous experience in the NAFL, states Team President Evan Triggs. ”It is our job to continue to grow this organization, no matter which league we are in. We owe it to our fans and supporters to return to being an elite team in the country." The 2010 NAFL season was extremely turbulent for the Tornados. Several or their games were canceled and the regular season ended with a four (4) week stretch of cancellations / forfeits. The Tornados ended the season with a loss at Traverse City, 17-7 in the playoffs. Attachments:
