The EliteMCFL will be having its League Meeting on Sunday, December 12th at Noon. It will be located at the Thirsty Pony 1935 Cleveland Rd. Sandusky, OH 44870.
The Thirsty pony is a restaurant/bar located in the Quality Inn and Suites Rainwater Park. The hotel features Cedar Lanes (a 32 lane state of the art bowling center), Lazer Runner (extreme laser tag), and Spare Change Arcade (with a golf simulator). The hotel also has an indoor waterpark with a 50 foot plunging tower of slides. The Thirsty Pony restaurant includes a lounge where you can gamble on harness horse races in Ohio's first off-track betting theater. The hotel offers free continental breakfast. The normal rates for a room are $99 - $129 and the hotel is offering a 'special' rate for any teams that come in at only $65 a night. They also said they can accomodate the teams staying over to not have to check out until after the meeting is over to make it more convenient. You can go to www.qualityinn.com/ires/en-US/html/Availability?sid=q_88M.fNktrg3Asg.14 to reserve a room now.
The hotel will be serving food at the meeting from the Thirsty Pony menu and there will be a cash bar in the banquet room. Each team is responsible for their own bills and the hotel has asked me to please keep one tab per team to help reduce confusion for the workers. The League Meeting dress will be casual professional.
This meeting will start promptly at Noon with Introductions and Open Networking. During this time you can place your orders for your meals. We will be following a strict meeting guideline in which you can not talk unless called upon. This will help us to keep control of the meeting and help the meeting to move faster. There are many issues that the league needs to vote on. It is so important for each member team to have a representative at the meeting to have their voice be heard. We do operate as a league with a one team, one vote policy. We will be completing the final presentations from teams applying to the league that have not yet been accepted. We will also be forming the divisions and voting on a Board of Director for each division. My goal is for schedules to be released in the first week of January.
Please keep in mind that although we do provide a U-Stream video link of the meeting - it is not as an option not to attend the meeting. The best way for us to grow and prosper as a league is to have EVERY team represented. We will build great relationships across the table from each other eye to eye and knee to knee.
Look forward to seeing you all there! That goes for new teams applying, too!
Sincerely,
Tiffany Turner
