No. 13 Tennessee Hurricanes 3-0 vs. Memphis Blast 2-1 , 5 p.m. cst, Melrose Stadium,Memphis,TN: Ah, yes. Blast -Hurricanes receives a lot of attention for its rare brand of sporting hate, and is often mentioned as the best state rivalry in the country, but for sheer acrimony, you'd be hard-pressed to find two fan bases that seem to loathe each other quite as much as Blast and Hurricanes. And what better place to experience such acrimony than the Internet? June 6, 2009 The Hurricanes won 14-12 during their first regular season game against the Memphis Blast.
July 18, 2009 The highly anticipated game against their cross town rival took place with the Hurricanes winning 28-26 over the Memphis Blast. The Hurricanes have now advanced to become the #1 team in our division.
September 12, 2009 The Season ended for the Hurricanes when they played in their first playoff game but lost to their crosstown rival, the Memphis Blast. The Memphis Blast advanced in the playoffs to compete for the Conference Championship in the AFL
May 2010 Bar-B-QUE BOWL after being down by two scores Hurricanes pull out a come from behind victory with the Last 3 mins of the game and win by 1.This will be a Great Match -up for 2011!!!!
