The Virginia Bruins will hold an open tryout for prospective players for the 2012 season.
The tryout will be conducted by the Head Coach of the Bruins and his staff and are slated for Camelot Football Field on March 24th.
The tryout will last approximately two hours. Athletes will be timed in the 40-yard dash and 20-yard short shuttle and will then participate in a series of individual and team drills. The tryout will be for all positions, including kickers and punters.
There is a $50 registration fee (cash or money order only) to cover the costs associated with the tryouts. Participants will also need to fill out a registration form and injury waiver. All athletes should come dressed to participate (including cleats). All Virginia Bruins Tryouts will be held on natural grass playing surfaces.
Registration for the will begin at 10am. with the tryout beginning promptly at 11am and will be held rain or shine. Although there is no pre-registration, participants are invited to provide any film in advance of the tryout to the Bruins.
